First Christmas

Jess enjoyed her first christmas - not as much as Amy enjoyed helping her open her presents. Jess found every cuddly toy very tasty!

Christmas Day

babble

Jess is babbling away now adays and plays a lot with Amy. She is sitting up supported now, but doesn't get herself there yet. She seems to have forgotten about trying to crawl now.

Butternut Squash

.. today Jess had two ice cubes worth of butternut squash! Yummy! She wanted to eat the bowl once it was all gone.

New Room

Jess has moved in to a room with Amy, Daddy and Grandad spent the whole day sorting out their new room and Amy has been so excited! So far both girls have slept very well.

Solids

Jessica started solids today, baby porridge - yummy!

Movement

Jessica is moving everywhere, she pivots, she shuffles on her tummy and is starting to bring her knees up to try and crawl! She can sit up unsupported for a short while before flopping.

Jess is nearly 6 months old (on sunday), and now weighs 16lb 3oz ! Sleeping through the night (has been for about three weeks, after a controlled crying exercise). Starting solids on saturday.

Weigh In

Jess weighs 15lb 6oz and is 65cm in length. Go girl!

Met Uncle Phil last Friday, and met baby William John Jones Jess's third cousin today he's under 3 weeks old, Jess 20 weeks today.

Granny France

This week I met Granny France!

Today Jessica was looked after by Grandad for the first time! She also rolled back to front and back again! well done !

Picnic, Icecream etc

Today we had a picnic, everyone else had an icecream too! Then I had a bath with Amy and got into her bed!!!

..and the little one said roll over.....

Jess is officially on the move, having rolled over this morning back to front! So wonderful to see her starting to move!

4 Months Old

Jess is 4 months old today, time really has flown, she also weighs 14lb 11oz! Jess is doing really well, seems very observant and enjoys time playing on her rug with Amy!

Meeting people

Today Jess met Joanne and Rich and bump!

Growing Up

Jess has out grown the pram part of the pushchair! She also attended her first Birthday Party- Danica was 3!

Sleep

Jessica has slept 10 until 6am for four nights in a row! brilliant!!

Weigh In

Jessica was weighed today and weighs 13lb 5oz.

She is loving being on her feet and is awake a lot during the day, on 4 hourly (ish) feeds. She tends to fall asleep at 9pm, wake up between 3-4am and then wakes about 7am. She does tend to cry when we are eating though! She is a good girl and likes being in her car seat and loves cuddles and company.

Today Jessica met Grannie's Cousin Jill and husband Ron.

Visitors

Thursday Sam came for a cuddle.

Today my Aunty Sarah (my godmother) came to visit with Simon and bump! Can't wait to play with bump when he/she is born.

Jess was 13 weeks old on Friday 13th and has totally forgotten about sleeping through the night waking up twice a night for a feed and then at 6am for playtime! Jess loves standing on her legs and her legs are very strong as is her head.

Visit to Somerset

We saw Averil, Tony, Nicola, Max and Xander

Holiday

We went to the Devon for the first time, we went to stay with Helen, Mark and Abbie - we went to the beach and Zoo - Jess slept through most of it!! (except at night - first night she woke a couple of times! - second night she slept through!)

Catch up

Last Saturday we went to a BBQ at Aunty Lisa's and met Aunty Ade. Sunday we went for a walk and lunch with Ducan and Maie.

Today we went to a farm park and met Emma, Christian, William and Isabella.

Sleep

Friday 23rd Jess slept 10.30ish until 7am! She did the same last night so fingers crossed!!

Jess met her Cousin today

Jess met Daddy's Cousin-in-Law Jude today and her son Ollie who is 9 days younger than Amy. She also saw Mrs Aykroyd again too.

Injections

Jessica had her 8 weeks injections yesterday, she was very good, she was asleep until the two jabs went in then cried but then settled quite quickly. She slept normally last night but has slept all day today, had a quick feed at 5pm, then was a little sick and then went back to sleep. Hope she is ok.

Taunton

We went to Taunton yesterday and had a bbq - Jess got to meet her Godfather Robin, his wife Kate, daughters Nicole and Izzy and new baby son Edward. We also saw Matt and Brionie too. Izzy and Amy got on really well.

Lunch date

Jess and Mummy met with the Yummy Jack and his Mum Lee for lunch. We then did some shopping!

Grandpa Came to Visit

We went to a dog show with Grannyson, went to Grandad's had lunch out and then a BBQ at Grannys.

8 weeks old

Jess celebrated being 8 weeks old by sleeping 12-7am!

Bottle

Last night Daddy tried to give Jess her first bottle, she wasn't sure at all - tonight she took a little bit more. Feels very wierd, I felt jealous someone else could feed her! But in the long run it will be good for Daddy to be able to feed her once a day - good for us all.

Weight

Today we are 10lb 14 oz!

first Wedding, first picnic and first BBQ

On Saturday Jessica came to James and Stef's wedding at Berkeley Castle, she was a good girl but got Hickups during the service! In the evening she then pooed on Mummy's lovely white skirt and then an hour later was sick all over Mummy!!!

On Sunday we then went to Bristol to meet Briony and Matt for a picnic and afterwards went to Grannys for a BBQ.

10lb 2 1/2 oz

Jess was weighed today - what a whopper! She is going to be far bigger than Amy I think, as she is 10lb 2 oz at 6 weeks!
